Mike Adams, a native of Roanoke, Virginia, brings a rich blend of expertise and a strong dedication to service. He studied English, French, German, and Spanish at Washington and Lee University, mathematics and computer science at Fitchburg State University, and earned a degree from the School of Theology at The University of the South. With over 30 years of experience as an independent IT consultant and mathematics tutor, Mike’s diverse professional and academic background allows him to approach complex challenges with creativity and precision.
A passionate volunteer, Mike has been an active member of Dedicated Dentist’s grant writing committee for the past six months, contributing both his time and financial resources to support the nonprofit’s mission. Inspired by his father, who founded a prominent Virginia dental nonprofit, Mike is also actively involved in the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke and the Keen Mountain Kairos Prison Ministry of Southwest Virginia. His extensive skills, commitment to community service, and alignment with Dedicated Dentist’s goals make him a valuable member of its Board.
Mike specializes in simplifying complex concepts, whether it’s breaking down advanced math for students or streamlining intricate computer tasks into a single keystroke. Fascinated by the potential of AI, he spends his time learning and exploring the latest advancements in the field.
In his free time, Mike enjoys traveling and has explored all the countries of Western Europe as well as all but three states in the continental United States. His diverse interests and dedication to service reflect his dynamic and multifaceted approach to life and work.
