Kelly R. Taylor

Kelly R. Taylor is a seasoned professional with a passion for education, community service, and global experiences. Kelly's unique upbringing as a military brat involved traversing the world, which enriched her perspective and instilled a deep appreciation for diverse cultures.

In a remarkable 20-year career at the University of South Alabama, Kelly currently serves as the Assistant Director of Academic Services for the College of Arts and Sciences. Her educational journey reflects a commitment to diverse disciplines, with degrees earned in History (B.A. - 2010), Communication (M.A. - 2014), Art (B.A. - 2018), and Educational Media & Technology (M.S. - 2023). Beyond her role in Academic Services, Kelly contributes as an Adjunct Professor in the Communication Department, bringing real-world experience to the classroom.

Outside the academic realm, Kelly has made significant contributions in the professional arena, excelling in roles such as Outside Sales at Waste Management, Inc., and Project Coordinator at Anesthesia Services, P.C. Her skill set encompasses research, planning and development, marketing, design, as well as outstanding organizational and management abilities, all of which have been sharpened through her diverse professional experiences.

In addition to her career, Kelly is a dedicated advocate for community service, actively engaging with organizations such as Mobile SPCA, where she volunteers her time, and as a past Board Member of Mobile Theatre Guild. Her commitment extends to Partners for Education, Water Street Mission, and the Salvation Army, reflecting a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the community.

With a varied skill set and a sincere dedication to education and service, Kelly R. Taylor emerges as more than just an accomplished professional. She is a well-rounded individual whose life story weaves together global experiences, academic achievements, and a profound commitment to community betterment.
